A friendly family of three in Chandler are searching for an experienced nanny to help with their sons school drop off while parents are away at work. Their sweet 6 year old son has been diagnosed with Autism and Smith-Magenis Syndrome. He has limited verbal skills but uses an AAC device when needed. He is a great communicator and recently started to use more words and sign. Experience with sign language would make for a great fit! The family would like a nanny who loves what she does, has a sunny disposition, and a caring heart. The little boy loves meeting new people, riding his push-bike and scooter and watching learning shows. He loves dancing to the wiggles and keeping busy with toys. He would love having someone to play with and be experienced and understanding when it comes to his needs. In the summer he loves being in the backyard pool. You’d be perfect for this position if you’ve had experience working with children with special needs, are creative and engaging.
The schedule will be 2 weeks and a day on and 2 weeks off. Monday-Friday 4 am – 8:30 am for school drop off with an opportunity to work afternoons as well at: 230 pm-6 pm for school pick up. This schedule can be split between two nannies to ensure coverage. Dad typically leaves the house for work by 4:30 am, between 5-6 am the child wakes up and you’ll be responsible for helping him get ready for school as well as getting his lunch bag packed. The family will have his food and snacks prepared. Their energetic son has oats and bananas for breakfast every day and he can eat independently. He will be dropped off at school by 8:45 am. For the afternoon shift, the nanny would pick him up from school, take him home and prepare a snack if he’s hungry. After snack time, the afternoon will consist of playing in his toy room, going for walks to the neighborhood park, or playing in the backyard with balls until dad gets home from work.
Some light housekeeping is involved, cleaning up after meals, picking up toys, and child’s linens and laundry. The family doesn’t have any pets and would prefer their nanny focus on having fun filled days with their son. This family is looking for a nanny that is responsible, dependable and can make a positive impact in their sons life! We are looking to hire a patient nanny to work with this family beginning in August 2019, apply today!
