Just last week, Andres Rendon of KOLD 13 in Tucson reported on the severe shortage of affordable childcare options in Tucson and how this is affecting our economy. This is a known problem that has worsened post-pandemic and a daily struggle felt by many parents of young children. It’s not uncommon for families to experience months-long wait lists for daycares and preschool programs leaving parents unable to juggle work and caring for their children. In fact, some households determine that one parent quitting their job is the only possible solution.
While Timeless Play is not an option for families seeking full-time childcare, it is the perfect solution for just about anything else. And with two locations (Oro Valley and Catalina Foothills), Timeless Play is a convenient location for many Tucson families. What started as just a drop-off play experience for children ages 1-12 has become so much more.
Part-Time Daycare Program
In January, we are launching a part-time daycare program in response to the huge demand for this type of offering. Regular pricing is $15 an hour for the 1st child and $5 an hour for siblings. While this is a totally affordable option for as-needed care (and usually cheaper than a babysitter!) it isn’t as cost effective for families wishing to use Timeless Play on a regular basis. Our part-time daycare program allows families with children as young as one to utilize our service at a deeply discounted rate when the monthly tuition option is selected.
Families commit to 20 hours a week for the entire month and pay only $160 a week for all twenty hours which amounts to about $8 an hour for the first child. That’s almost 50% off! Most daycare and preschool programs have very minimal discounts for siblings. Our weekly sibling rate is only $90. Additionally, you can select a schedule that works best for your family. Our daycare program is totally flexible, allowing you to select the 4-hour time blocks that work best for your needs and you can opt to change your schedule each month. Finally, we accept children as young as one and no potty training is required.
What is Timeless Play?
Timeless Play is a walk-in, drop-off play experience for kids and we hope that parents continue to think of Timeless Play when you need a date night, when school is closed and you need something to do with your kids or when you just need an hour or two for a doctor appointment, work meeting, kids-free shopping, etc. But we hope this new program also helps parents to think about our licensed childcare facility as a wonderful, regular part-time childcare option as well. There are no lengthy contracts or long-term commitments. Simply use us when you need us – whether that’s once in a while when you’re in a bind or every week on a consistent basis.
