Description:
The Ideal Candidate: Are you someone who takes pride in creating a clean, organized, and welcoming home? We’re looking for a dependable, proactive, and detail-oriented Household Assistant who enjoys helping busy families keep their homes running smoothly. The ideal candidate is trustworthy, organized, efficient, and takes initiative without needing constant direction. A positive attitude, flexibility, and a willingness to jump in wherever help is needed are essential. While this role is primarily focused on household support, the family may occasionally need assistance caring for their 2-year-old daughter when daycare is closed. These childcare needs will be very infrequent, so the main focus will remain on household responsibilities.
Job Duties Include:
- Household Tidying & Organization: Keeping the home neat, organized, and welcoming by tidying common areas, putting items away, and maintaining an orderly environment.
- Cooking & Meal Preparation: Preparing family meals, assisting with meal planning as needed, and ensuring the kitchen is clean and organized after food preparation.
- Laundry & Linens: Washing, drying, folding, and putting away family laundry, as well as changing bed linens and keeping bedrooms tidy.
- Kitchen Support: Washing dishes, loading and unloading the dishwasher, wiping down countertops, and maintaining a clean kitchen.
- Light Housekeeping: Light sweeping and general upkeep of household spaces to help the home stay clean and comfortable.
- Household Assistance: Helping with additional household tasks as requested by the family, anticipating needs, and taking initiative to keep daily routines running smoothly.
- Occasional Childcare: Providing safe, attentive care for the family’s 2-year-old daughter if daycare is closed or backup care is needed. This will be very occasional, as the position is primarily focused on household assistance.
