Does our church need a membership?

Membership is recommended for churches seeking consistent access, priority scheduling, and the most seamless experience. Membership includes discounts on hourly rates, priority scheduling and waived urgency fees for care requests with less than 48 hours’ notice.

How are your caregivers screened?

All TC employees undergo one of the most meticulous screening processes in the country. We work with a licensed private detective that investigates all of our applicants by hand (rather than relying on ineffective computerized background checks), we drug test, require our employees to pass a knowledge-based exam and more. What’s the difference between a 1099 contractor and a W-2 employee, and why does it matter for our church?

It’s an important distinction that can protect your church from serious legal and tax liabilities. A 1099 contractor is considered self-employed, meaning the hiring organization (in this case, your church) could be held responsible by the IRS if workers are misclassified or if proper taxes and insurances aren’t handled.

When you partner with Trusting Connections, you’re fully protected. All of our caregivers are W-2 employees of our agency, not independent contractors. That means we take on all employer responsibilities, including payroll taxes, workers’ compensation, liability insurance, and compliance with labor laws. Your church never assumes the risk or responsibility of being the “employer,” keeping you compliant and covered.

What can your nannies do?

Our nannies will check out what you’ve shared on your Church Profile in the portal before arriving to a shift so they know what to expect and what is expected of them. Our team is happy to facilitate any activities or pre-planned curriculum. They can work independently or alongside existing staff. We also can care for children of all ages, including infants.

Are the sitters you provide for church settings held to the same screening standard as your other caregivers?

Every caregiver we place, in a home, at an event, or in a church nursery, goes through the same background investigation, drug testing, and reference checks. There's no lower standard for church care.

Our team handles the matching and scheduling directly with your church staff, so you have one dependable point of contact instead of juggling a list of independent sitters.
