new baby at home?
Trusting Connections can connect you with an experienced Night Nanny or Newborn Care Specialists (NCS) – a newborn care expert that can help you with all aspects of caring for your infant (sleep, feeding, schedules, etc.) in Tucson, Phoenix, and Dallas Fort-Worth (and it’s surrounding areas). A Newborn Care Specialist can also provide parents with support and education. The postpartum period doesn’t have to be so exhausting. Our belief that parenthood should come with a tribe is especially true for new families in a phase of life where an “extra set of hands” is needed the most.

Frequently Asked Questions (FAQs)
Families looking to hire an NCS will go through our Placement Services and pay a one-time 15% placement fee. The client will then be responsible for paying the NCS directly for her services. Hourly rates are typically set by the NCS and vary, depending on the number of infants. $25-$40 per hour is average.
Newborn Care Specialists generally work overnight shifts or around the clock, working independently with little direction or guidance from the parent. An NCS has extensive training and knowledge regarding infant care and development, knows what’s “normal” and healthy and can help establish proper eating habits, sleep schedules or implement sleep training for families who want to help their baby sleep through the night. An NCS is well-versed in breastfeeding and has a basic understanding of perinatal mood disorders which aids her in supporting mom through the postpartum period.
An NCS is an incredible support for new and likely tired (or lost!) parents. Newborn Care Specialists are typically with a family for the first 3-4 months of a baby’s life and will help mom and dad get a good night’s sleep! If you’re exhausted and need help with night wakings, an NCS may be the right fit for you! If you want to become more knowledgeable on how to properly care for your infant, an NCS can help! If you are needing expert, hands-on guidance for helping your baby sleep through the night, a Newborn Care Specialist is your ticket to sanity!
Whereas a doula is in the business of educating and supporting mom and dad to be able to care for their new baby themselves, an NCS is more involved with providing the care. A family might work with a doula a few hours or nights a week. It’s more common for an NCS to care for a baby for extended periods of time. A baby nurse and newborn care specialist is somewhat of an interchangeable term. The “night nurse” or “baby nurse” terms are no longer recognized by our industry since you cannot legally call someone a nurse who isn’t a registered medical professional.
Register with our agency and pay a $65 initiation fee to get the process started. That initiation fee includes a personalized care consultation. Our Care Director will meet with you virtually and get to learn more about your unique needs and preferences. We will match you with a newborn care specialist that is the perfect fir for your family.
