Frequently Asked Questions
A private educator or private teacher implements curriculum in your home or virtually for one or more children and is typically able to simultaneously work with children of different grade levels, alternating 1:1 time with each child. For a higher hourly rate, a private educator can create his or her own curriculum tailored to the needs of your family but can also help carry out existing curriculum set by the school or parent. A private educator can also function like a tutor and assist for just an hour or two at a time for families who are just needing limited educational support.
With our Flex Service, we have two options of memberships families can choose from:
Our Classic Membership is designed for families who don’t have a set, consistent schedule of the days and times they need care. This membership is most beneficial for families who need sporadic care, such as an occasional date night or back-up care.
Our Classic Reserve Membership is designed for families who do have a set, consistent schedule that they can provide to us in advance. By doing so, we’re able to reserve a single nanny or teacher to work exclusively with your family.
Families looking to hire a full-time or long-term private educator (one year or more) should go through our Placement Services and pay a one-time placement fee. The client will then be responsible for paying the private educator directly for his or her services. Hourly rates vary depending on the number of children, grade level, if any additional care is needed, and curriculum planning. This can range from $20-$50 per hour. This is the recommended service for families who want someone 30 hours a week or more or a long-term implementation of a structured curriculum.
You are only responsible for paying a placement fee if a teacher or educator is successfully hired by a family. The placement fee will vary depending on the package you select:
Teal Program: Client is responsible for paying Trusting Connections 10% of the candidates gross annual compensation. In return, you will receive a 30-day replacement guarantee.
Silver Program: Client is responsible for paying Trusting Connections 12% of the candidate’s gross annual compensation. In return, you will receive a 90-day replacement guarantee and 20% off our Classic Flex Membership.
Gold Program: Client is responsible for paying Trusting Connections 15% of the candidate’s gross annual compensation. In return, you will receive a 180-day replacement guarantee and a complimentary 12-month Classic Flex Membership.
Once you register, we can get you on the schedule to work with one of our homeschool helpers sometimes within a matter of days. To Hire a Teacher through our Placement Services, we recommend that you initiate the registration process approx. 4-6 weeks in advance.
You may elect to provide your own curriculum or one of our in-home educators can create a curriculum for your children.
We are currently providing private educators for the Dallas-Forth Worth, Phoenix, Tucson, and their surrounding areas. Please inquire internally if you’re outside of those areas to confirm.
